SR1 ROBOTICS
Team SCARLET
SR1’s FIRST Robotics Team (Grades 7–12)
Team SCARLET is our flagship FIRST® Tech Challenge team for students in grades 7–12 across central Mississippi. Each season, students design, build, and program a brand-new robot to compete at official FIRST events.
Each season, our team designs, builds, and programs a brand-new robot to compete in official FIRST® robotics competitions at the state and national levels.
Team SCARLET gives teens a real taste of engineering and leadership. Students take on roles as programmers, engineers, CAD designers, project managers, and team leaders — learning skills in coding, circuitry, CAD design, and robotics systems under the guidance of experienced coaches and mentors.
“We combine the excitement of varsity sports with the challenge of STEM."

In this competitive yet supportive environment, students:
-
Collaborate to solve complex design problems
-
Learn teamwork, time management, and creative problem-solving
-
Embrace FIRST’s core values: Gracious Professionalism® and Coopertition®
-
Build lifelong friendships and a sense of belonging in STEM
